Experiential Community

Over 19,000 sqft of shared spaces for a community grounded in connection, wellbeing, and personal growth. The building had been an operational hotel, so the most sustainable decision was a relatively light-touch renovation, breathing vibrancy and soul into the space, without unnecessary waste or consumption.

Old carpets were replaced with new ones made from upcycled plastic bottles and fishing nets, tables were designed out of recycled yoghurt pots, and furniture grown from mycelium.

Colour psychology informed the rich palette, with an emphasis on those shown to engender feelings of tranquility, empowerment, and creativity.

A large, low-backed modular sofa to open people up to spontaneous connections.

Shelving units made from trees felled by local councils, making them the most sustainable wood in London, imprinted with the coordinates of where the trees stood.
